5 years already I wrote a post about Izegrim, a trashmetalband from my homecountry (Zutphen). They were big in the scene, really big. They played all over Europe and even in the states. Funny fact: my brother has made the guitarist (Jeroen) enthusiastic about the guitar. In the end, Izegrim was/is the result, speaking of development...
At some point I read the message that Izegrim broke up after quite a few years, the chemistry was no longer there. I sometimes ran into Marloes and Jeroen (a couple and singer and guitarist of Izegrim) at a party or in the city. It was definitely not my favorite music, but I thought it was very good how far they made it. Izegrim was a household name in Europe.
It was quiet for a long time, every now and then I saw a message from Jeroen on Facebook. Until he started posting more mysterious messages. About how he was working on a great project but that he couldn't tell much about it yet. The nice thing was that a lot of people became curious. Each time he hinted a little more.
Until he finally revealed that they were working on a new project "Haliphron" and that new music would follow soon. The first signals were cool. A new dead-metal sensation was born. And she immediately turned out great, and to be honest it is also possible with such a club of top musicians. With musicians from various leading metal bands, Haliphron was born with Jeroen on guitar and Marloes on vocals.
They had the album release in the Melkweg in Amsterdam, a super famous venue in the Netherlands and the international press was lyrical. So cool to read that they are one step higher on the musical ladder. They were the support act for Arch Enemy during their European tour. Isn't that awesome.

This was their first videoclip of the song Human Inferno.
And that they are standing strong live will show the next clip on the "Into the Grave" festival.
Although it's no mainstream music, they really rock it !
Take care,
Peter
