Samsung announced the Samsung Experience 9.0 Beta, also known as the Android Oreo beta, for the Galaxy S8/+ today. It is limited to South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.
It has been very stable for me so far, and is much more optimized than Nougat on my S8. The Beta is a great opportunity to report bugs and make suggestions to improve the overall experience of the software. While I had a flawless upgrade experience, it is a very good idea to make sure all of your data is backed up if you decide to join the beta. I have not used it long enough yet to give a thorough review, but leave a comment if that is something you would be interested in.
To apply for the beta, use the Samsung+ app if you are in the United States, or the Samsung Members app elsewhere.
