In a day that saw the big gun stretched beyond limit, table turned and potential awaiting sack for some managers whose team had a bad at the office. I will start my recap of Saturday's English Premier League with the game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur. The game was played at the America Express Community Stadium with over 30610 spectators present to witnessed the unforgettable moment that will cherished for years to come. From kick off, Brighton made their intention known when they lashed home in the 3rd minutes of the game to score the first goal of the afternoon, it was soon 2-0 on the 32 minutes and from their it was a tall order for Spur. The game was soon became 3-0 after Conolly scored his second of the afternoon. This match might have come and gone but a lot will still said about the Spur team that have let in 10 goals in less than a week.
Liverpool might have won their game against Leicester City through a late penalty which was converted by James Milner. The match has proven again that with proper coordination and tactical discipline this Liverpool team is beatable, if Liecester had control their emotion in the very tail end of the game the result would have been draw. Haven't said this, credit must be given to Liverpool for their persistence and willingness to win no matter how or what circumstances they are playing at. This has being the trade mark of this Liverpool team this season so far and this is a true mark of champions, winning ugly and keep the points.
From my fixture analysis i had earlier predicted a draw match between Norwich City and Aston Villa but it all turn out to be a different ball game as Aston Villa proved everyone wrong. Online poll had given Norwich City 46% to 21% chance to win this match considering their recent form and playing at home at Carrow Road with over 270000 spectators solidly behind the home team, one may not be wrong to give the match to them at all. The eventually ended 1-5 in favour of the visitor who show character from beginning to the end of the match, with this results, Aston villa has now moved to 14th on the table.
I will be surprise if Everton Manager keeps his job till the next fixture of Premier League. A 1-0 loss to Burnley further condemn the Toffees to misery as the team is now just one point above the relegation spot. This is no by all means what the board of Everton will settle for after spending over 100 million pounds in the transfer window to beef up the team and compete at at the top and not fighting to survive relegation.
West Ham United versus Crystal Palace, before the match, the Hammer knew that a win over Crystal Palace would possibly move to 3rd on the log and a chance to as well compete with the big boys in the league and who knows a champions league spot. However Palace had a better ideals on their own as well after all a win will also move them to a very respectable position and they did just that when Jordan Ayew scored the winner in the 86th minutes to hand the Palace a win.
