The chan eagles defeated the their Togolese counterparts with two goals to nothing in an encounter soaked with pressure and expectations. Even though the expectations were high on the possibility of the chan eagles beating the Togolese today at the famous Agege stadium in Lagos turning the table to scored three unreply goals may be too much to ask for from the chan eagles team that had to be changed with many players making the team after a woeful performance in Lome forth night ago.
It will also be right to mention here that the lose should not be blamed on the players and coaches alone, as matter of fact, the management of Nigeria Football Federation and League Management Committee should be blamed for this dismal performance as both bodies keep delaying the commencement of the 2019/2020 league season. Most of these players are rusty as there has not been any competitive league in the land for months now and they expect magic from the players.
It is sad and painful that our football administration are just not the set of people needed to take Nigeria football to the next level. This keeps happening and it seems they are not learning at all.
