I just signed up for steemit and was approved today! I'm very excited to be a part of this community.
A little about me:
I live in Atlanta, GA, USA, with my hubby and a few cats. I grew up in Chicago and have lived in several states in the southeast (TN, GA, SC, and FL), but have ended up living in Atlanta three times. Obviously, I really love it here -- except the traffic, of course. No one likes the traffic in Atlanta. Ugh. But living in a metropolitan area with so much greenery, so many trees -- it really is beautiful. (Just make sure you've got plenty of allergy meds in the spring! All that green comes with a price. A yellow price. A yellow price that causes a lot of sneezing.)
I'm a professional editor, specializing in fiction. (I'm Yoda, for writers! :) ) My preferred genres are fantasy -- from urban to epic to dark, suspense, thrillers, and horror, though I also do work with romance authors of many stripes, as well. One of my goals for my time on steemit is to post (often cross-post from my blog) information on writing, both how to do it better and how to succeed in getting it published, whether indie or traditional publishing. I really love helping writers, whether online, via editorial work, or at in-person classes I teach.
So if you're a writer on steemit, feel free to follow me for writing advice :)
I also write, myself, and will be releasing a number of books over the next 12-18 months, both fiction and non-fiction. Most of my fiction tends to fall into the supernatural thriller category. I've tried to write more mainstream things, but the weird always ends up creeping in. So then you've just got to go with it, right? ;)
Twitter is the social network I'm most active on. You can find me @troilee, if you'd like.
So that's me :) I look forward to making connections here with interesting folks, especially people who love to write!
Happy writing!
