Despite being a huge fan of the Pokémon franchise, this game never caught my attention, like many others that aren't RPGs per se. I think I always saw them as somewhat unnecessary to play. I didn't remember this one until I saw the post; it's one of those many DS games that came out, like Pokémon Rumble for the 3DS.
