Hey gamers! How are you all doing? I'm back with more Arknights: Endfield, and let me tell you, this game just keeps pulling you in deeper and deeper. Every mission adds something new, and the story just keeps building in ways that genuinely keep you hooked. After making it through the Broken Lands, things are starting to get real serious real fast, and I couldn't be more into it.
So picking up right where we left off, after surviving the chaos of the Broken Lands, the next chapter throws us straight into one of the more intense early missions: Break the Siege. No rest for the Endmin, right? The moment the previous mission ends, you basically land on Talos-II and immediately get dragged into the action. No tutorial screen, no loading screen breather. Boom, enemies are already on you, and Perlica is right there joining the fight like the reliable companion she is.
Breaking the Siege
Right from the jump, the mission throws combat tutorials at you while you're literally fighting for your life, which I actually appreciate. Learning the stagger mechanic mid-battle, swapping between characters on the fly, using skills at the right moment — it all starts clicking fast, and it makes you feel like you're actually getting better at the game rather than just reading a manual. This mission is Chapter 1, Process 1 content, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's a walk in the park. The Aggeloi come in waves and the space isn't always forgiving.
Meeting Qin Jiangchi
One of the highlights of this mission is finally meeting Director Qin Jiangchi. She's the one running the Valley IV Hub Base, and honestly, she carries that director energy really well. She's clearly someone who has been holding things together in some pretty rough conditions, and you can tell she means business. After you clear out the Ram Aggeloi and make your way deeper into the base, you get a proper dialogue scene with her that gives you a lot more context about what's been going on at the Hub and why things got so messy. I really liked how the game uses these moments to flesh out the world without just dumping a wall of lore on you at once.
Miguel and the Polo de Floracina
Now here's where things get interesting in a different way. As you push through the mission following the objective markers, you drop into a greenhouse area where you run into Miguel, and this is where he introduces you to the Polo de Floracina at the second checkpoint. I won't say too much, but this little stop does a lot for the world-building. Miguel walks you through the Buckflowers and even kicks off the crafting system right here, showing you how to turn the flowers into Buckflower Powder to heal yourself. It's a simple mechanic but one that becomes genuinely important the further you go, so pay attention here.
The fact that something as seemingly mundane as a plant becomes a survival resource speaks to the kind of layered design this game is going for. Nothing feels like filler — every element you pick up and every NPC you talk to seems to connect to something bigger.
Still Halfway Through
I'll be honest with you all — I didn't finish the mission this session. I left things right around the midpoint, heading into the deeper parts of the siege with the Old Factory still ahead of me and the Ankhor waiting somewhere in there. But even just getting this far, I can already feel the game building momentum. The story is tightening up, the combat is starting to feel more intentional, and the characters are getting more interesting with every conversation.
Arknights: Endfield is shaping up to be something really solid, and I'm genuinely excited to push forward and see where this all leads. I'll pick this up in the next post, gamers. Stay tuned and let me know in the comments if you're playing this too — would love to hear how far you've gotten!
