Good morning, Steemians!
Well, everyone's worst nightmare happened to me this morning. I woke up at 6:36am, AN HOUR LATER THAN I SHOULD'VE! I immediately went into crisis mode, put a shirt on filled my water bottle and was out the door for work. I live about ten minutes from work, and I am supposed to sign in at 6:45. My first class is at 7:05am (I teach).
I don't get it. Last year, this never happened to me, not once. I haven't ever forgotten to set my alarm in all of my adult life. Weird, huh? Anyway I made it to school just on time (speeding), and ran up the stairs after the elevator closed in my face (lol).
Does this ever happen to you? I told one of my classes what happened and asked them if that ever happened to them and almost all of them raised their hands. I am a very punctual person, so it's definitely out of the norm for this to happen to me.
I didn't have time to eat anything or for my usual routine of coffee and checking Youtube and Steemit before I am off to work... Luckily, yesterday we went shopping and I grabbed some instant coffee and threw it in my backpack along with a bag of sugar we had at the house. I survived two classes without my coffee, but barely. I immediately went to the breakroom to heat up water and then made myself a cup. Now I feel human again! Just one more class to go until I go home :) Oh, I also have a big break, so I'm going to bust out my rice cooker and make myself a wholesome meal :)
What a feeling of grave anxiety though. Meh, it worked out in the end!
Thanks for stopping by, Steemians!
