Fluorosis, a chronic public health problem, resulting primarily from fluoride-rich drinking water, has also targeted an entire new generation in Brahman Tola village. The crisis is widespread; at least 132 districts in 19 states suffer severely from fluoride-rich water with more than 11.5 million in India at very high risk. When groundwater is the sole source, people are forced to choose between death from thirst and death from consumption.
