Ive seen some questions in the Discord channel that are asked quite frequently by new players, So i thought ill make a post for some basic information.
BOSS
As first Boss fights require 1 ship NFT equipped and a minimum of 1 Flux for the first boss and you need 1000 favor, sometimes 1000 does not work and you will need to make it 1001 since I think you start with 1 favor without adding anything to it. So it might be saying you got 1000 favor but you actually added 999 yourself since the 1 you have when you create your account.
So when you want to try the first boss and you have 1000 favor just add 1 more and make it 1001.
IF YOU GET ATTACKED TOO OFTEN
Sometimes I see people asking questions about what to do because they get attacked over and over again. The thing here is you need more defense! What I found out is that at the start maybe till level 50 defense and 5 engineering, you might be fine, but as you get higher engineering you might need to make the difference between defense and engineering higher.
So for example when you have level 11 engineering I would go for 140/150 defense. When I am at 16/17 engineering I would go for 200/210 defense.
UPGRADES
How do you know what to upgrade?
This part is actually pretty hard sometimes, you need to go over to the leaderboard to see what other peoples currently have as stats.
So for example, if I want to upgrade my engineering to level 20, I go to the leaderboard and then sort it by engineering level. Then I look to all players around engineering level 20 and see what their defense and dodge are.
If I see people around engineering 20 that are all higher with defense and dodge I will not upgrade engineering but first focus on defense.
Sometimes it might be even more profitable to update your damage, since sometimes if you upgrade your attack by 1 or 2 levels, it could mean you will steal about 10 more scrap per attack just by putting a bit of scrap into attack instead of defense.
I always check the leaderboard before putting in any upgrade to see which ones gives me more scrap in the short term so I can upgrade other stats in the short term.
