My favorite splinterlands element is fire, there are a couple of reason why I prefer fire also I would suggest playing fire to new players of Splinterlands. I will make a list beneath about why I chose to play fire and why I personally suggest it for new players.
Don't forget this is just a personal opinion, everyone has a different element he likes but for me fire worked the best when playing.
What worked great for me to climb the ladder is the following
The following setup is what I used the most:
Summoner : Tarsa
Monster 1: Defence monster
Monster 2: Reach monster
Monster 3: Sneak / Opportunity monster
Monster 4: Sneak / Opportunity monster
Monster 5: Sneak / Opportunity monster
Monster 6: Sneak / Opportunity monster
This deck rushes the enemy healers and backline monsters which they try to protect ill give a example below:
For low mana decks:
Summoner : Tarsa
Monster 1: Antoid platoon
Monster 2: Uraeus
Monster 3: Serpentine spy
Monster 4: Tenyii striker
For low mana match up it would be a great addition to rent 0 mana cost cards such a Furious Chicken or the Legendary 0 mana cost card for fire in this case. This would give you 2 extra cards in your match that will catch damage from the first hit or from opportunity monsters.
For High mana decks:
Summoner : Tarsa
Monster 1: Forgotten one / Grum flameblade
Monster 2: Ferexian hero
Monster 3: Lava launcher
Monster 4: Uraeus
Monster 5: Serpentine spy
Monster 6: Tenyii striker
If my opponent plays a lot of magic I would take Grum and for Poison matches I would take Forgotten one so I don't get any damage from that. If the enemy is high on Melee damage I would take a monster which blocks Melee damage.
With a high mana deck, I would have a lot of mana still open, But as this would be a budget deck I don't care about the mana I have left I just want to rush to kill the enemy backline and heal monsters.
COST OF FIRE DECK
Fire cards were a lot cheaper than water or earth when I got into the game, so I loved to play fire and they were cheaper. Also to rent a deck for bronze or silver are super cheap at this time.
MAX CARDS
Also when I get the chance I try to put in as many cards as possible, since if I put in one card and the enemy gets 5 attacks per round and I get 1, I will lose most of the times. So with having more cards in the match you will have more attacks happening and might increase your chance of winning.
