Hello everyone, I am sharing my journey with Splinterlands for the Social Media challenge!
START OF JOURNEY
So I joined SPL in 2021, where I watched and read first about tactics and started to play with starter cards. I was lucky I started in 2021 since at that time starter cards did not give you penalties on your rewards yet. So i could build up some assets to play the game before it was required to rent or own these cards.
After I got into the usage of cards and tried out the different summoners, I choose to first focus on one of the summoners to get these cards ready to climb the ladders to silver.
TACTICS
I chose to go with FIRE, since these were cheaper and did not require a lot of rentals to play into silver. Also the rushing of the enemy healers by using opportunity cards.
After playing for a while and climbing into gold by renting more different summoners and monsters card, I was very bummed when I went on holiday so I missed out on my rewards.
Important thing to notice is, I did not invest a lot into SPL from the start I just bought my Spellbook played and gained assets that way.
After grinding for rewards in SPS and cards, I decided to sell some assets to buy more assets to maximise my fire Deck.
Also with the drop chance of Chaos Legion packs it helped me a lot cause i opent them and sell them to get more of the cards that I wanted.
When I got my deck to be atleast decent, currently it is with summoners and monsters from level 3 to 5, and some reward cards maxed. So I can play in Gold league or Silver league with a bit of a penalty but still earn rewards without renting anything.
Sometimes when I decide to rush for more rewards I use peakmonsters to rent a complete Deck with good enough cards for Gold or Silver.
Now the SPS requirements, did not require me to buy more of these I already had enough to not get full rewards in silver one, but still enough to get something from it.
LAND
After playing for a year or two I had enough cards and packs I could sell to buy myself a Land plot, which I never thought I would be able to get! Oke I agree it is a bad land card, but still I got it just by playing the game and trading assets around.
I am still very excited for the release of Land 1.5, I will not have a lot but I just really wanted to try out the features of land.
GUILD
I also joined a newly created guild, which is still growing and growing and gives me about 20 sps per week and a gladiator case.
I do say, joining a guild is TOTALLY worth the effort, the gladiator cards are AMAZING especially for earth. There is one card which is super strong and helps me win most of my brawls.
