Down The Singkil River

The Singkil River is the longest river flow in Aceh which is directly connected to the Aceh highlands, namely Southeast Aceh Regency.

Down the Singkil River with the aim of heading to the old settlement which is no longer inhabited due to land subsidence in the estuary area. There is no road to reach the location, the waterway by boat is the only available transportation. This activity aims for scientific studies.

Aceh Singkil Regency is a regency (Indonesian: kabupaten) in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It is situated largely on the island of Sumatra, but also includes the offshore Banyak Islands, the largest of which is Tuangku (Great Banyak), with the principal town of Alaban. The seat of the regency government is at Singkil on the Sumatra coast. ^[wikipedia]

Me, @keuudeip and the team traveled overland for 12 hours from Banda Aceh to the capital city of Singkil.
