After a short visit to Bonn on my way to Bochum, deliberately avoiding the motorway, I decided to make overnight stop in Odenthal.

It turned out to be a lovely spot, right next to a small stream, outside the village and surrounded by the forest of the Bergisches Land.

There are six spaces for motorhomes on a paid public car park. An overnight stay costs €8. You should be self-sufficient, as there are no facilities for fresh water or waste disposal.

Satellite reception is good, while 4G just about works.

Parkplatz Märchenwald – Odenthal

Nach einem kurzen Abstecher nach Bonn auf meinem Weg nach Bochum, bei dem ich bewusst die Autobahn gemieden habe, beschloss ich, in Odenthal zu übernachten.

Es stellte sich als wunderschöner Ort heraus, direkt an einem kleinen Bach, etwas außerhalb des Dorfes und umgeben vom Wald des Bergischen Landes.

Auf einem kostenpflichtigen öffentlichen Parkplatz gibt es sechs Stellplätze für Wohnmobile. Eine Übernachtung kostet 8 €. Man sollte autark sein, da es keine Möglichkeiten zur Frischwasserbefüllung oder Abwasserentsorgung gibt.

Der Satellitenempfang ist gut, während 4G gerade noch so funktioniert.
