Hello friends of the hive leaners community i greet you with glee as i comet to share with you all another upcycled diy material from an everyday affordable materials, Diy's is something i love and find interesting and creative, i am also a lover of luxury decor design which has inspired me to share with you all a creative design of picture wall frames from basic cardboard as the main material, keep reading below to learn how i created this decor.
Materials Needed
Thick cardboard
Scicorss
Paper Bond
measuring tape\rule
Blank A4 paper
Magazine pages
Black electrical tape
popsicle stick
Step By Step Process
- Step 1
Using the measuring tool, i measure and cut out a cardboard dimension size of 10 by 7 inches, this was the size i had wanted for this specific wall frame among othe, You can choose whatever dimension of cardboard to make your wall picture frame depending on the look you are going for.
- Step 2
After i had my cardboard canvas size i am going to introduce the blank white A 4 size paper, this is going to be placed onto the cardboard and attached to it with the paper bond glue, but first i measured the size of the A4 paper to match the size of the cardboard and trimmed using a scissors. After i had the size of the two canvas matching each other i coated the cardboard generously with the paper bond allover, i then waited a few minute for the bond to get tacky and placed the A4 paper unto the cardboard.
- Step 3
Unto the next part i had previously cut out a page from an old magazine i had at home, this was going to be the picture for the wall frame for the luxury look, i had specifically chosen to use this photos picturing women of different race with a retro filter to the photography, the image to me represented luxury because i had been inspired by several luxury painting of women which i had seen on pinterest pages and social media generally.
- Step 4
Now to attach this magazine page to the canvas i went in with the paper bond again coating and placing the page with the same initial method i used before, to create a clean look at the edges which were a lot tacky, i am using the black tape to seal the two canvas together, this is also provide a black binding frame-like you would notice in real wall frames.
And this was the result
i am also showing you this wall frame among others i created to have a collection, this is just to inspire my fellow luxury aesthetic lovers, to show you that luxury can be achieved even with the simplest and most basic things you can find, it is mostly about how it is finessed in my opinion and this goes beyond creative diy's and also can be applied in other aspects of life too.
