Hello!!! Today we are going to travel to the Merida State in the Venezuelan Andes. Merida has the Bolivar peak of about 5000 meters high with the longest and highest cable car in the world (it was not in operation so I could not go up). We arrived by plane to El Vigia and from there by road to the city of Merida, bordering the Chama River.
Hola!!! hoy vamos a viajar al Estado M茅rida en los Andes Venezolanos. M茅rida tiene el pico Bol铆var de unos 5000 metros de altura con el teleferico mas largo y alto del mundo (no estaba en funcionamiento asi q no pude subir). Llegamos por avi贸n a El Vig铆a y de all铆 por carretera a la ciudad de Merida, bordeando el Rio Chama.
The food in Merida is very good but very good, there are some trout farms where you can fish your own and send it to cook, ride a car or horse through the paramos is like a dream, the farmhouses are some more beautiful than the others , the nightlife in the center of the city is super lively, since Merida is known as a university city, so most of the young people are students from other cities who are studying there.
La comida en M茅rida es muuuuuy buena pero muy buena, hay unas granjas de truchas donde tu mismo puedes pescar la tuya y mandarla a cocinar, pasear en coche o a caballo por los paramos es como un sue帽o, los caser铆os son unos mas bonitos que los otros, la vida nocturna en el centro de la ciudad es super viva, ya que M茅rida es conocida como una ciudad universitaria por lo que la mayor铆a de los j贸venes son estudiantes de otras ciudades que se encuentran estudiando alli
The weather is mountainous with an average of 12潞 almost all year round, in August you can climb any peak (you can go by car) and you will find a lot of snow. In the farmhouses of the paramos it seems that time has stopped, everything is magical, natural, green and with a fresh smell, that day night fell on us and we went to the hotel the next morning we went back up another paramo and the view and the atmosphere was still spectacular.
El clima es de monta帽a con una media de 12潞 casi todo el a帽o, en agosto se puede subir a cualquier pico (puedes subir en coche) y encontraras mucha nieve. En los caser铆os de los p谩ramos parece que el tiempo se detuvo, todo es m谩gico, natural, verde y con un olor fresco, Ese d铆a nos cay贸 la noche y nos fuimos al hotel a la ma帽ana siguiente volvimos a subir por otro p谩ramo y la vista y el ambiente segu铆a siendo espectacular.
On the road we found small automobile museums that were closed for the hour, but a man who had a lot of vintage cars allowed us to enter his garage and take some photos.
En la v铆a nos encontramos con peque帽os museos del autom贸vil que ya por la hora estaban cerrados, pero un se帽or que ten铆a un mont贸n de coches antiguos nos permiti贸 entrar a su garage y tomar algunas fotos.
With almost no time left, we went down to the city and visited the Minor Basilica Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, beautiful both inside and out, agriculture museum, and one or another car with more than 50 years in mint condition.
Ya casi sin tiempo bajamos a la ciudad y visitamos la Catedral Bas铆lica Menor de la Inmaculada Concepci贸n, bella tanto por dentro como por fuera, museo de agricultura y uno que otro coche con mas de 50 a帽os en excelente estado.
