My mom had a trip planned with my brother to go explore Lake Tahoe for a few days. I was invited as well but I wasn't going to be around as I was in Washington, but circumstances changed and I was able to tag along. It was a bit hazy from wildfire smoke, but not bad. It cleared up even more the last day. This was was the view after scrambling down a hillside on the Nevada side of the lake from a road pull-off south of Incline Village.
The water had such a clear and deep blue color. There was still a little bit of snow on a few mountains, but most of it was gone.
When we first drove in, we went through South Lake Tahoe then up the west side of the lake. Here is a panoramic shot from a road pull-off trail looking towards Emerald Bay.
Here's a shot looking south from eagle rock which was an easy hike.
We stayed near Tahoe City which is a bit north of center on the west side of the lake. Here's an evening shot with the moon out on the north side of the lake looking east.
I enjoyed Lake Tahoe and I'd go back to do more hiking if I ever have the opportunity.
