I understand privacy being prioritized and the experience you just shared, shows your former employer really invaded your privacy for selfish reasons.
But personally, I think it's okay to go through employees public content, especially in school, some teachers post inappropriate content and their post can influence kids negatively. To protect kids I believe checking public post is okay...
