When you lower the interest rate on HBD, what happens? People dump HBD. The problem with Hive token price is caused not by the HBD savings accounts, because those funds aren't being sold. They are staying on the platform, earning interest. The problem with Hive token price is the DHF proposals selling every pfennig they receive for fiat. That is pushing the price down and causing the interest rate to become insuperable.

Without that crash of the price, the HBD savings would not be a problem. The greed of the whales that extract those $M's from the DHF is the only problem. And we don't even require they provide accounting for how that money is spent, nor get to see a single receipt.

The solution is simple, and you have pointed it out. Until and unless proposals commit to and provide monthly accounts in GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles, essentially double entry bookkeeping) that any kindegarten bake sale has to keep, we vote the Return Proposal. Every one of us should unvote any proposals that are not providing GAAP and receipts on demand, and vote the return proposal.

Right now.
