"...take Ned as an example, or anyone who took part in the ninja mine. When they sell their stake to the market, and a person purchases said stake, it becomes distributed. Distribution neutralizes the stake's original ninja mine quality."
Then Sun Yuchen's stake was not ninjamined. No one claims Sun got @ned's stake any other way than buying it.
However, there was a difference between @ned's stake and all other stake, which was not it's origin, since all Steem was mined just like
@ned's stake.
@ned repeatedly claimed that stake was for development, and would not be used for governance. This convinced investors to buy Steem since the founder's stake was not going to be used to take total control of governance.
When Sun bought it, @ned's restraint no longer applied, and we see today that stake governing Steem unitarily.
This is why I deprecate any argument that the origin of stake matters to the present circumstance. The relevant issue is that all that influences governance is money. As long as that remains the case, folks with enough money - of which there are many - are able to take over Hive and censor us at will.
That is the actual danger, what happened to Steem, and to which Hive remains completely vulnerable at this time.
