The atmosphere in which the sound travels is precisely known, and this then tells us how far away the shot was fired from. The sound of a shot taken 140 yards from the target takes longer to reach the target than the sound of a shot taken from 60 feet - and that's what audio analysis shows, I am told. The shot was taken from much closer, not from the Losee Center roof.
