Free speech is certainly imperiled. It's not just the UK either, Germany has been following close on the footheels of the Brits, and are reported to be trying to criminalize the AfD, the second largest political party in Germany. I recall last year (or the year before) Russian people protesting the Special Military Operation in the Ukraine were arrested for holding up blank pieces of paper. Everyone knew what they were protesting, so they didn't even have to actually say anything to commit a crime of sedition, or whatever they were charged with in Russia.
Biden's ok of long range missiles being fired into Russia from the Ukraine may signal any of a number of things. Trump's fanatics may be so strongly against the war in the Ukraine that Trump wouldn't be able to actually light it up without losing the popular support that is his superpower, so Biden has to set it off so that Trump didn't do it in the eyes of the zealots.
Steam may not be willing to go toe to toe with the US Senate and the ADL, particularly because Trump and Musk are going to be on the side of the ADL. That really grinds my gears.
Thanks!
