The election seems to be - who you hate more

We're due for the Ceasar stage of empire, when the republic has become impossible to maintain because corruption has rendered all the agencies captive to the industries they were supposed to manage, the Caesar steps in on behalf of industries and creates the public/private partnership - fascism - and makes the trains run on time for a while. At least that's what's happened in the past.

Given the war on humanity the institutions have been waging, instead of trains running on time the chute to the abbatoir may be greased, and divisions dehumanizing each the other may be inflamed, to generate public support for limited genocides that eventually eat the whole.

In that case, society will have to step up and play the Christ to the institutional Antichrist that is presently unopposed.
