NZ especially needs to decentralize, decentralize, decentralize. There are resources in NZ that enterprising folks can make products from. Canadians certainly have incentive to grow food, eh?
Last week I got some spotted bananas at a discount, prepared for the more flavorful breakfasts that I usually enjoy when I get spotted bananas. But the bananas weren't discolored inside, and they were much more mealy, doughy, just as the video showed. The taste wasn't different than usual, but the texture was definitely much more doughy. Now I'm concerned I might have eaten some bad juju. Hopefully it's just a more robust variety that ships better. I'll avoid bananas until I find out more.
Katherine Maher is suffering from terminal wokitis. It's actually very disenheartening to hear the new head of NPR - which was founded to create a non-partisan trustworthy source of information to counter political disinformation/propaganda - completely failing to understand that the way to counter false claims is to speak the truth. It's disenheartening because I don't believe for one minute she doesn't understand that. She's lying in order to convince others that won't work, and the only way to counter false information is to censor it. Hearing that from NPR is as discouraging as realizing the FBI are the muscle for human traffickers, or that the CIA are the drug smuggling cartels.
The controlled opposition against Maher, Musk, is wearing his Moloch suit. While he appears to be defending 'us' from 'them', the lying censors, the fact is that Musk gave Twitter to the WEF, who makes a pretense of free speech by flogging people like Alex Jones, Candace Owens, and similar opposition mouthpieces for official narratives. Alex made a big deal about endocrine disrupting chemical pollution, but what solutions to any of the problems he discusses does he present? None. Candace made a big stink about Warcriming Zionazis, but what solutions is she advocating? None.
Musk is presently making a revolution in Brazil, against the madman Alexandre de Moraes that has become the evil overlord and taken over the country, censoring blatantly and with seeming abandon. What will be the outcome of Moraes' downfall? Lula's defeat and Bolsonaro's re-election. Is Bolsonaro actually conservative of human rights? No. Not anymore than Bukele is in El Salvador, or Milei in Argentina. These 'right wing' politicians aren't at all focused on freedom and human rights, despite they may put down some leftist overreaches and out of control crime (probably engineered specifically for that purpose) but they're going to advocate for police states and surveillance, biometric ID, and what they will call 'reasonable' surveillance, which will be just what the WEF wanted in the first place. Musk is actually terrifying, TBQH. He's building a global surveillance satellite network for the intelligence agencies. All that blather about microseconds for investors never did convince me, but the surveillance capabilities of ~50k low Earth orbit satellites is definitely something oppressor states will pay big for.

The contest between Musk and Moraes is an engineered battle that we are all being herded into Musk's corral by. But I don't want Musk deciding what I can or can't say, how many tweets I can view a day, or any of the other metrics the WEF intends to limit me and the rest of humanity to. Maher similarly is making arguments for truth being subjective, but as you note, the weight of a ball bearing needs to be an objective value for the world to function. Her psychological skills are superlative, her training has been sublime, but her job is - in the debate about censorship with Musk - to lose to objective data. And that debate is being engineered to corral us into biometric ID and a global surveillance state that Musk is building for the WEF.
Ed, when you have a party and send for some entertainment, do you need your entertainment to enable you to turn a profit by charging your party guests at the door? Neither does the WEF need it's psyops wranglers to turn a profit. Larry Fink is the Agenda Director for the WEF and runs BlackRock, the asset management company that basically owns a controlling interest in ~90% of the corporations of the world. They don't need to make money from CNN or NPR. They need to make up our minds with their psyops productions. They can make money appear out of thin air.
When they need us to all watch CNN to get our dose of official narrative Musk will just censor everything else.
Getting rid of the cell phone sounds awesome! I leave mine at home. I should get a faraday cage for it to stay in, off, until I want to use it, too. Seems like you're on the right track, because it's getting more and more expensive to not get the benefits of a cell phone from my cell phone. My old clamshell phone won't work on the new networks either, so I got a tracphone and pay the monthly tax.
Have you heard of CitrusTel? There's other outfits too: Globfone, ievaphone, PopTox, Call2Friends, and more. I think all those are limited to making phone calls. To receive calls I searched up eSimPlus and ItStillWorks. You can probably search up more on your own. I have no idea whether these work well or not.
"What fills that void?"
The WEF.
Thanks!
