You mirror my feelings regarding government and society. I note that public relations is something native to people, and all higher animals. The cultural mechanisms and social interrelations living species undertake are amongst the most highly evolved features of living things.

But people also make technology apply to that. Psychologists and neurologists study how we think, make decisions, and respond to others. We can see that such technology has been deployed today because so many governments and corporations are precisely effecting joint policies, and such careful agreement isn't a natural feature of our interactions on any scale, much less international geopolitics.

Decentralization is the cutting edge of technological advance, and technologies like AI are now able to be used by you, as an individual. This certainly includes the psychological mechanisms that are being maliciously used to manipulate us globally today. This tech needs to be decentralized, and individual households be the point of policy formulation, in order to end the abusive parasitization of overlords, that has gone on far too long.

Societal interactions will probably never be perfect, but you and your neighbor jockeying for political advantage over the backyard fence is a lot less likely to produce 20M dead, or worse from a nuclear war.
