There are different ways to make a dead man switch work. Despite his decades of time to work them out, his gift for mathematics, and actual education by Mossad, the CIA, and other institutions highly competent at extortion, Epstein seems to have not had any that worked, like Julian Assange.

Perhaps Steel is one of Ghislaine's that's working. Something explains why there's been no perp walk or mug shots. Perhaps those would trigger such a switch. Ghislaine's daddy was a spy and she was daddy's favorite and taught well from birth, and she certainly would have conceived of graduated switches, which start off small and keep on working until something stops them.

Deception is tangled, but strange treatment of Maxwell is ongoing. My guess is folks that control the media are being constrained by extortion, as well as LEAs and politicians.

But maybe Steel is just a thief having a bout of conscience. We may never know.
