It's not a preferable strategy absent individually suitable and nominally functional means of production to be isolated. Eventually, some gang or another can take advantage of your solitude to wear you down. The Bosnian war revealed that it was preferable to have a community of deeply interdependent folks that were able to take shifts on guard duty, venture forth for trade or resource acquisition purposes, and generally mutually support each other.

We're a social species, not solitary like Neanderthals, and even they were mostly family units, rather than lone individuals. Being alone is being vulnerable today.

Keep that in mind when looking for ways to prosper despite the fascist tyranny the Neoliberal agenda is gradually imposing.
