Regardless of form, government is, and will always be, as it always has been, primarily a vector for corruption. Until government is rendered obsolete by the laws of physics and the coming diaspora of utterly free and sovereign humanity across the great gulfs of space, humanity will suffer the depredations of psychopaths. The day inevitably comes that social predation will no longer be potential, and the mere prospect of social interaction with other sovereign humans will be the most cherished of blessings people could hope to enjoy.
