Having worked in sales, I was struck by the vastly greater success women had in the field than men on average - but that far fewer women that worked in sales than men. Marketing, which I have also done, has greater representation of women, but there are still far more men in that field, which is associated to sales, likely for similar reasons - although I have not done any polling to ascertain the reasons for this.
