I think that's only because he's the fall guy employed at the moment. As soon as he's replaced by some Tory, they'll become the next most hated person, because they'll do the thing as ordered. Maybe Farage would be different? Honestly, I doubt any party or person could gain power in the extant system, because all democratic systems are designed to force people to be ruled by their enemies. I don't believe for a minute we can vote our way out of tyranny.
