You could burn the rewards instead, then curators still get curation rewards for upvoting you. However, since ~30 people still voted on this post anyway, I think those are autovotes that don't read but just automatically vote on your posts. Changing your declined rewards to burning them by making @null the beneficiary of 100% of the rewards on the post will still provide curation rewards to folks upvoting you automagically.
As for Hurt, I think it's obvious he's sincere in what he is saying. He isn't insulting you, and he doesn't have ill will for you. He cares very much about Hive, and the price of Hive is very low right now, so selling Hive will put downward pressure on the price. If the price of Hive goes down more, more people will lose hope and leave. That would be bad for Hive, for all of us. Your KE ration of 46 shows that you have sold a lot of the Hive you've earned, and he is downvoting you, he explains, to discourage you from selling Hive and putting downward pressure on the price.
I don't agree with him about a lot of things, but some of the things I disagreed with him about turned out to be things I was wrong about. I am sure that if you can speak with him respectfully and not take it personally, you can also learn from him, because he understands investing very well. Perhaps if you hear him out and understand his concerns and why he is DV'ing you, you can propose a solution that will convince him you won't put downward pressure on the price anymore. After all, you said you planned to grow your account.
I'm not committing him, nor you, to anything. I know he cares about Hive, and I know you care about Hive, because you've been on this platform for a year longer than I have. Take a deep breath, breathe in peace and calm, and don't take it personally for long enough to have a good conversation and learn what you both can work towards - making Hive a better place. I think you're both good people, just on different sides of this issue, which you take personally. If you can be a good person and work with Hurt, who's a good person, I think you guys can work this out. I hope so, anyway.
I'm not taking sides here. I don't want to get in the middle of your personal interactions with Hurt or Galen or anyone else. I just felt your outrage and read your post and think the people that follow you very much want you to stay on Hive and keep posting, and that's what I want too. I don't think Hurt wants anything bad for you. I just know he doesn't want anything bad for Hive, and he thinks you're doing harm to Hive. Maybe if you guys talk reasonably together you can work together instead of falling out. I hope you at least give it a try.
RE: Bullys on Hive are going to make Hive a very lonely place.... guess who...
