I had not seen that, but have many similar statements from similar men. Religion has been a fundamental mechanism binding humanity to overlords throughout history, and certainly long before. I am too pressed for time to fully answer but am preparing a post that will address the matter in more detail.

I can but note that religion does not mean spiritual faith in a god, but a regular practice, and I lament that war is the religion most universal.
