I note that her KE has dropped by ~30 points. I had no idea it could change so dramatically so quickly, but that shows Karen is acting to rectify the problem that has brought the impetus to do so. She also has figured out how to burn author rewards, and my demonstration of tipping as a means of encouraging creators seems no longer necessary.

I find it unfortunate that my good faith discussions and demonstration of Hive's mechanisms intended to counter the abysmal user retention on Hive seem to have caused apprehension of bad faith on my part in your estimation. As to management of my stake, I don't use it as money. I have no financial interest in my personal stake. I use my stake on Hive to encourage authors, to demonstrate courtesy when I am rewarded with the thoughts and criticisms of another user engaging with me - but my recent bedevilment by the consequences of HF28 has left me clawing and scrabbling to rebuild my VP for more than a week now, and has dramatically reduced my engagement because I cannot show that courtesy to interlocutors and rebuild my VP.

You have specifically requested I engage with you without regard to that practice of courtesy, so I am. I assure you I have no bad faith in regards to our discussions, and neither in my actions to encourage user retention that have consistently been my practice for years now. Perhaps I have not clearly expressed my belief that user retention is the greatest challenge facing Hive today, far more important than my personal stake to me, because the many users I have encouraged to remain on Hive by these means are countered by those I have tried to encourage but have not remained. I have insufficient ability to wield enough encouragement, and it's simply beyond my ability to both encourage user retention nominally and manage my stake so that it continues to grow as it is now, has always, and will continue to per my management methods.

Perhaps you have not closely examined the results of my management and misunderstand my stake to not be growing as it is. I seek to increase my ability to encourage user retention, which requires greater stake, so I limit my use of stake to encourage users to remain active on Hive to what I can do while growing my stake. I fail to see how this creates a perception of bad faith on my part, so I do not understand how I have lost goodwill by acting per my values and principles I have consistently upheld in our discussions.

Maybe you could clarify how I have acted in bad faith in your understanding so I can understand how I have been wrong and change my mind to become right. If you could supply useful criticism that enables me to understand, I would greatly appreciate it. If you weren't aware of the salutary affect on Karen's KE, or the continued growth of my stake, or of my long practice of encouraging user retention to the limits of my stake, and have mistakenly thought I was somehow abandoning principles I have expressed to you and undertaken consistently in every way I can for years, I hope I have dispelled the very idea I have acted in bad faith by clarifying my actions and principles here.
