Now is no different, except that there are more to starve than ever. I conclude from observation that the West will, as it always has, collapse only under the weight of it's corruption, and the bloody aftermath of that collapse is today, as it always has been, the goal of it's corruptors. All that can prevent and mitigate this catastrophe unfolding is the high moral character of the men of the West, which can best be examined in sewers and gutters, IME.

What may follow, I have learned by living the results of my foolishness, is people chastised by their folly intent on never again suffering the shame they bear for the havoc their turpitude has cost them. The nearly miraculous potential of table top means of production await the reaching hands of men that seek never to be dependent on evil overlords, never again to be deceived by vile glandular pulsations and mere satiety of meaningless urges, focused on noble mores and the prosperity of their posterity good, clean living and beneficent merit delivers to our beloved sons and daughters. The cataclysm that has befallen us is of our own device, and them that survive may do so by their perspicacity and understanding of their own faults that has rendered mankind susceptible to this moral hazard and it's consequences.

People regard the panoply of the heavens and it begins to dawn in the minds of men we need not suffer limitations on our fortunes nor our freedom if we venture forth productively and build an infrastructure of independence that can secure our untainted sovereignty and support inconceivable wealth our posterity will possess in perpetuity. I do not think dullards and conformists will much survive being dragged into trenches intended to be their graves, and the wisdom necessary to not die as a sacrifice to eldritch horrors will be the evolutionary force that will propel the survivors into the near solar system to develop the illimitable resources that set humanity free from poverty, strife, and obedience of psychopaths forever.

As what of history we can know informs us, freedom is the treasure that affords all else that profits men, and there is neither a lack of resources nor any source of oppression to impede the sovereigns in the vast extent beyond Earth created for our ventures. Beyond the atmosphere of Earth the environment is far more deadly than any army will ever be, and that enemy will defeat every wannabe overlord that seeks to enslave men. Once taken, that first step off Earth will make the trials and tribulations of mortals striving for freedom irrelevant. Our being trapped on Earth has made that hazard of enslavement unavoidable, but once we leap beyond Earth, the open range of space will make freedom unavoidable.

This is the Space age, and the drafter of the laws of physics has made us the men that will take that leap, or guide our sons ho make it. When invaders try their luck at enslaving peoples, the peoples that will make this transition will not be trapped on clay being invaded. But few of us are competent to merit the freedom and prosperity such a magnificent leap will award, and they will be the gene pool from which the men that matter will be drawn from. We cannot vote with our feet on Earth anymore, for the prison bars are everywhere to confine us. We will have to vote with our wings, and that will be the last vote we ever need to take.
