I am mystified that this sentence is in a post on investing strategies. Particularly from someone that has verifiably outperformed me by orders of magnitude. LOL

That's the spirit! When you're assigning risk, keeping the above in mind enables properly being mindful of capital preservation. In a field in which there are basically no fundamentals and the rise and fall of prices is completely due to psychology and psyops, 100x leverage is a pure gambler's gambit, and your fate determined by the gods. If you're all sacrificed up and are confident you have the favor of the mad plotters of our destiny, it is this spirit, an awareness the gods have enemies that hate you because you're beautiful and favored, that restrains your exuberance and enables you to endure a spanking.
