In re: payrolls, things really haven't spun up yet. Our benevolent AI overlords have this to say.
I feel fortunate that only yesterday I began negotiating for a chunk of the produce from a market garden, rather than cash or other money, in exchange for services rendered. The markets can do whatever they want, but beets retain their value.
"...pretend to expect..."
I think this is the right way to look at things. BlackRock controls ~90% of stock corporations, including trading houses competing for nanosecond advantages. Adjustments in pricing of stocks may be flying retail flags, but the majority of the market is firmly in the hands of Big Bucks.
We wagies feel the weight of expectations we shelter in place while economic shots are fired, to creep out of our holes of ignorance when the fireworks end to see where we ended up. I cannot more strongly recommend against that. This is the day to bust a move to decouple from fiat and seek anything else as remuneration. Seize the means of production and create the blessings of civilization desired, or face being priced out of the market for them.
I'll happily take my pay in beets and basil instead of TP and Weimar firestarter. At least I won't be hunting rats like the poor souls in Zimbabwe after Mugabe modeled how things are going to shake out.
Thanks!
