The reason I ask about AI that we can run ourselves is that I am unwilling to hand over the data I generate using AI to the AI. I don't carry a phone. I don't have a bank account. I don't fly, take the disability, or food stamps. I drive such an old truck it doesn't have a brain. I don't generate data to harvest, so I can't use AI that I can't personally air gap from the data harvesters or I will generate data for them to harvest.

I am not criticizing you. I have undertaken this strategy and don't want to abandon it, because I think it's working. It just precludes using AI that isn't FOSS and running entirely on my hardware.
