Things will get worse before they get better. Decentralization of the means of production is just beginning, but it is the cutting edge of tech advance across every field of industry. Sybaritic wealth and power is parasitic, depending on parasitizing collective production that requires massive capital investments. But decentralized means of production often are able to produce modern goods and services on a kitchen table top and can be purchased for lunch money, not requiring massive capitalization. It also eliminates parasitic losses, and that eliminates overlords with immense wealth and power.
