"Well, in our current system, you need enough currency (The US$) flowing through your hands to live."
Perhaps you don't believe me when I report that I eschew such money and depend on goodwill, because I have repeatedly explained how I do not pay what people consider to be unavoidable bills. I do get money from people I provide services to that are incapable of goodwill, so I have not escaped money completely, but for almost all regular expenses, such as rent, power, garbage, water, food, insurance, and on and on, I have arranged for those financial obligations I generate to be indirectly paid with goodwill.
The necessary ability to create goodwill only with people capable of it is an unanticipated generator of good company, which I cannot recommend highly enough.
It is factually undeniable that money is not necessary to live. It is similarly factually undeniable that our current system is not necessary to live. I have explained in general terms some of the ways money is a burden, creating a real tyranny of possessions that causes interminable labor, as well as spiritual burdens revealed in violent consequences to society across all scales, from war to the dissolution of families squabbling over money. I have attempted to explain in general terms how I manage to cope with our current system that expects us to use money without jumping through those hoops, and I continue to see I have failed in my attempts because our indoctrinations are too effective.
"Our system is about to change."
Be the change you want to see in the world.
