This is truly awesome. I noticed right away there was no autodriving BS, no software subscription crap for heated seats, and none of the Big Daddy remote control capabilities that epitomize Teslas. This is how electric vehicles should be made.

Your points about standardization, as the Edison truck showed, increasing product lifetime while decreasing costs, are well taken. I drove a VW Rabbit P/U as a work truck for the last decade, and it became somewhat difficult to find parts. I have become good friends with a local VW guy as a result, so that's actually been a win, but I had to put his kids through college to do it, so it wasn't cheap.

These kinds of things become evolutionary, enabling all manner of blessings to increase the felicity civilization provides. I'm happy to learn of this, and appreciate you bringing it to my attention.
