I hope your neighbor's ok.
Another thing that will impact gold (although you have some explaining to do about your gold vibrator thingie) is space mining. There's essentially an unlimited supply of everything in space, once we can get to it. That's not necessarily a short term issue however.
Something that is a short term issue is censorship. BTC doesn't just need the internet. It is utterly dependent on free speech. The internet doesn't need to go down for BTC or other cryptos to be unable to transact on the internet. All that needs to happen is for encrypted speech to be blocked. Nothing more difficult for our overlords than censorship is necessary to end transacting in any crypto.
BTC and etc., really only exist at the pleasure of the legacy financial system. Further, all crypto can be used as CBDCs, because the internet protocols can be programmed to provide the limitations on exchanging crypto that can be programmed into CBDC tokens. Perhaps I don't need to explain this further, but if I do I can. The cryptos don't need to be issued by the central banksters to be limited in every way that CBDCs issued by central banksters are going to be.
Frankly, the more consideration I give to crypto of any kind, the less secure I think it can be. Absent a network we can transact on we own and control, crypto is 100% only allowed by permission of the legacy financial system, and further, can be programmed with all the limitations potential to CBDCs.
Thanks!
