I wish BTC could take over, but it can't. Even if BTC had 100x the market share it does now, it could not take over. The reason it cannot take over is that there is no means of transacting in BTC without the permission of the legacy financial system.
BTC is just data on the internet. In recent years, the vile tech and media corporations have been increasingly exercising illegitimate control of the transmission of date. IOW we are being increasingly censored, illegally and unethically, for a variety of bad excuses - not reasons. However, these bastards have lots of practice censoring us, and censoring transactions in BTC will be a piece of cake for them.
There is no communications network we can use except the internet that our foul enemies wholly own. If you and I want to transfer some BTC between us, we don't have any other way to do it. If the owners of the internet do not want us to transfer that BTC, we won't be able to.
That's all there is to it. We'll either use whatever they're shilling or we won't transact, or we'll transact face to face, which won't work for you and I because we're not local to one another. I have tried to talk my landlady into taking Hive, but she won't. She won't even take credit cards. She only takes cash or checks. This has already been problematic for some years now, but I can see it getting worse real fast if dollars go away and we have to use fedcoin to pay rent. She won't take gold bullion or BTC even if I could get it to her (which is theoretically possible since she and I are local to one another).
It doesn't sound to me like you have any kind of plan B, or any option besides being excluded from any financial system that may exist based on Fedcoin, since you have no ability to communicate other than the internet, just like me, and everyone else. The internet isn't going to survive over ham radio, CB, FRS, or any similar mechanism. Beechat and Qortal have been trying to create a radio network independent of overlords, but I haven't seen a lot of folks stating they're using it.
What options are there? If you have a plan to transact with BTC after the USG demands we all switch to Fedcoin and issue debit cards to all of us with Fedcoin balanaces equivalent to our declared dollar holdings, would you mind sharing it with me?
Thanks!
