I owe no debt, and I will owe none. I own a truck with no electronics, except the solar panels and power inverter I installed. Mechanical fuel injection. I also know a guy with hundreds of acres that makes a living selling firewood, and he's already told me we can work something out for fuel wood to run my trucks on gasifiers.

They CAN get my stuff from me, but they'll need different weapons than cutting fuel supplies, debt packages or loading me up with interest payment, and etc. I'm talking to folks about making ceramics, locally produced foods, and all manner of goods and services folks will need if all the grocery stores stop selling stuff.

Most of the work I do is already compensated in goodwill, not cash, or silver, or CBDCs. If I end up eating worms, I'll grow my own, thanks. So, it's not impossible to pre-arrange your economic means to withstand any ordinary catastrophe. As long as I can keep my community functional, I'll be fine in economic terms.

I reckon by doing these things, I am also dispersing knowledge of how they can be done to my network, and they'll be prepared to make those moves if they need to in order to remain on land they own, eating food they trust, and living in the communities they want to.
