A premise. I constantly question the theory that suggests the speed of light is a constant. It is shown that the speed of light is only a constant in vacuum. The universe is not a vacuum. I have discussed why the observable universe is ~45B light years across, even though the universe is only ~14B years old. All sorts of things bring that speed of light into question, and do not simply toss relativity out on it's ear.

Theories are constantly modified. It is quite rare for all of the permutations of a theory to be categorically disproven by one detail changing.

I agree that our present understanding of physics is wrong. It has to be wrong because we don't have a very good understanding of the universe yet, and as we gain new knowledge old theories will either be wholly disproved or modified.

NASA is not the arbiter of physics. Neither is CERN. Physics is what it is, and we but fumble around the edges trying to ascertain what it is we are feeling up. I recognize that my understanding of physics in toto is quite miserable. All I know is that I know nothing.

Because of that I cannot make sweeping pronouncements as to whether this or that is absolutely, certainly true. I know that if I do, I will be wrong, because I cannot know. I am incompetent to know. I mean you no slight when I state you are not either competent to know. We are primates evolved to be able to intuit the trajectory of weapons flung at prey. We are lucky we can tie shoes. Given that basis for our intellectual abilities, it is gross hubris to expect we can wax prosaic on the reality we are in. Science is plagued by such hubris unrelentingly.

All manner of duplicitous behaviour is employed to profit from our nescience. We should not add ignorance to the abilities of liars to extract profit from us.
