I have long opposed @markymark because he ran a bidbot, and I have always opposed bots voting on Steem. However, I have sucked up my pride and voted for his witness, because he is in the consensus, and it is more important to save Steem from being centralized than it is to maintain my opposition to his witness because he used to run a bidbot.

He no longer does run a bidbot to my knowledge. He does acknowledge that he downvotes a lot of people, which he claims he does to discourage plagiarism, circle jerks, and the like, which I find hypocritical of a bot owner. Is that why he has so angered you?
