I could believe it, but lack supporting evidence. Were I Mossad, I'd have killed him just to rid me of the trouble he was bringing. That would be a lot less trouble than keeping him alive, and it's not like they cared for him. He cannot provide services they can use anymore. Why would they keep him alive if he was useless, and nothing but trouble?
