The other day, I went to a few secondhand stores. Here is some of the beautiful artwork I saw on my outing. Also, I took some shots of a neighbourhood bunny on our grass. Moreover, we saw a grey jay stop
I went to St. Mary's Lake, BC to do some kayaking! Thought I'd share what I saw! The St. Mary's river flows into this lake and then flows out of it, which you can see in the next picture below. There were
Last stretch on our hike at Silver Springs Lakes, BC, Canada! Can you identify this frog? There were a number of these flowers on the hike as well: This is a very interesting rock on the trail! Maybe water
And so we continue hiking in south-eastern British Columbia... The trail goes southward on the eastern shores of the 3 lakes. In the above you can see three tips of the mountains. The following below I
That's right, the beginning another series! This time we went to Silver Springs Lakes, close to Elko, BC, Canada. I enjoyed the trip. The first photo you see is of the first lake out of the 3 you hike
The final part of our adventure! As we finish passing by Canuck Lake we head on towards Turtle Lake and get back to the start, completing the 3 lake loop. There were not many turtles at Turtle Lake (ironic?).
Can you see them? Yup, those are turtles alright. They seem to be Western-painted Turtles, which have been a species at risk in the Rocky Mountains in Canada. Scroll below for more photos! So our story
This story begins with arriving at Premier Lake Provincial Park in BC, Canada. Here we began a hike loop, which hits 3 smaller lakes called Yankee, Canuck, and Turtle Lake. This is the map at the start:
A view of Premier Lake in the Canadian Rockies. I went with my parents here when I was younger and did some canoeing. What brought us here this month was a hike, pictures of which I will post in the future
Your friendly-neighbourhood cat: Barney! Before I went on a walk he followed me on my way out, wanting to be with me. Then on my walk I got a shot of some interesting moss on a rock. When I got home, some
On Saturday I went on a trip to Northern Idaho to go to the traditional Catholic Latin Mass, and visited with some folks as well. I got a few shots of the landscape. It was kind of smokey outside, hence

These are our friendly White-tailed Deer. Around our rural place they've become known to drink from our birdbath. Last year, as the picture shows, we even placed a bucket of water for them to drink from
This is Hourglass Lake. Yup, a lake in the shape of an hourglass--two large bodies of water and a small canal joining them. It was a tough hike to get up this high to see it. A forest fire came through

Hello folks! Anyone who has seen the Lord of the Rings knows this quote by Theoden, King of Rohan, about the battle the evil army of Sauron. It reminds me of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
Hi friends! In the Canadian Rockies, we have some great parks. One of these is Norbury Park. We decided to go kayaking at one of the lakes there, and so the first picture is taken when we were on the water.
Last month, June, we got a double rainbow at our house in the Canadian Rockies! They are more rare, so it is really great to see one. We get more rain in June in our area. The rainbow is God's promise
The other day when I came back from my walk I found Mr. Froggo on the side of the front porch! We do not have any great bodies of water near us so it is unusual to see it here. Can you identify this frog?
