Hahaaa, that explains it... yep, makes sense now. I didn’t watch Miami Vice, so i didn’t know Jai Alai appeared in the intro. It’s actually pretty interesting that this sport really exists in real life — I honestly thought it was something fictional at first. On YouTube out of curiosity i found a full match. It’s actually really fast and surprisingly complex. Definitely not what i expected

And to be honest, just reading the name “Jai Alai” from you, for the first time, it sounded almost extraterrestrial to me. The pronunciation and the words themselves don’t give you any clue that it’s a real sport played by real people.
