I am happy to wear a mask when it is voluntary. This is standard civics.
I believe that employers can require masks along with any other safety measures that feel.
I admit, I would not shop at a store that required customers to wear masks. (Unless the mandate was forced on the store by the local government). Personally, I avoid shopping at Costco. The company is notorious for supporting statist policies. I also dislike the membership model. The membership causes people to spend more and diverts business from small local firms.
If you like warehouse stores, I've grown fond of WinCo. WinCo is an employee owned company. They don't take credit cards. Their prices are lower than Costco, and you don't have to buy absurdly large quantities of goods.
The big question about masks is: If you contract COVID19; will you wear a mask? Will you self isolate?
When people have the disease they shed the Corona Virus. The real benefit of the masks is that it holds in the virus reducing the spread of the disease.
I have actually made sure that I have two weeks worth of food on hand if I get sick. I also have a little hole where I will hide with my computer and HIVE account while I recover. I plan on doing this regardless of any state mandate simply out of respect for others.
