OpenOffice is an office software that provides you many features. There are six contents in it. These are :
- Writer
- Calc
- Impress
- Base
- Math
- Draw
I want to give some information about these.
Writer : it is a word processor that you can use to create documents. You can keep that documents as HTML or PDF.
Calc : it is working like Excel and you can use it for financial or statistical works.
Impress : You can create presentations with Impress. It's like PowerPoint.
Base : You can create charts and forms with flexible options. It's a database software.
Math : It's a formula editor software and the formulas in the documents are created by this software.
Draw : It's a drawing editor and you can create graphics with flexible options. You can create 2D or 3D objects and you can check them.
OpenOffice is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Solaris.
Short of long story, it's an office software but there are some benefits that provides us. For example it's free to use. You don't have to pay anything to use that office software. Also it's compatible with many operating system. The user interface is not complicated so you can use it easily and there are so many language options.
